  1. NoteWorthy Composer 1.30d, Notation Processor for Windows

  3. A Shareware music composition and notation processor for Windows,
  4. providing for the creation, play back, and printing of your own 
  5. musical scores. You can:

  82. ** Upgrade Instructions For Owners of Previous Versions:
  83. If you have an older version of NoteWorthy Composer, you
  84. should install this new version into a different directory 
  85. or folder. If you currently have version 1.21d or later, you 
  86. can easily remove this older version using the NWREMOVE 
  87. utility included in that package. If you want to keep the 
  88. older versions, this is fine as long as you do not run older 
  89. versions at the same time as this new version.

  91. ** Installation Instructions:
  92. If you have received the NWC files in an archive such as a
  93. ZIP file, extract the files into either a temp directory on your 
  94. hard drive, or onto a dedicated diskette.
  95.  
  96. Run the SETUP application that is contained in this directory
  97. or diskette that you created. For example, if you extracted the
  98. application files into a disk in drive A: then from the Program
  99. Manager you would select the Run command from the File menu, type
  100. A:\SETUP and press enter.
  101.  
  102. Once SETUP starts executing, just follow the prompts. After the
  103. install is complete, an on-line context sensitive help file can
  104. guide you the rest of the way.

  106. ** Installation Problems:
  107. The SETUP utility tests most of the files that are installed to
  108. make that they have not been corrupted or subject to tampering
  109. prior to their installation. If you get an error during 
  110. installation which indicates a changed or corrupted file, you
  111. may experience problems with the product after it is installed.
  112. In this case, you may want to check with our support services
  113. to see how you can download or acquire a new copy. The fee for
  114. mailing a diskette with the latest Shareware version is currently
  115. US $7, payable directly to us as described in the "How to Order" 
  116. section of the help file.

  118. It is also possible that the SETUP utility is experiencing 
  119. problems installing the application files onto your system even
  120. if the source files have not been corrupted.  Some disk caching
  121. utilities may cause this to happen. If you are using a disk 
  122. caching utility on your system, and you experience difficulties 
  123. during the SETUP process, then try running SETUP from a clean 
  124. boot. This involves rebooting your system such that the disk 
  125. cache is not loaded.

  127. ** A Note About Future Upgrades
  128. We may, from time to time, release new updates that enhance the 
  129. software base included in this version of NoteWorthy Composer.
  130. These updates will be provided as *.UPG files, which can be 
  131. processed by the enclosed NoteWorthy Updater application. They
  132. will be made available at our web site. Minor issue upgrades
  133. will not be announced.
